This is my “now” page inspired by Derek Sievers. It answers “what I’m doing now?“. My life, projects and priorities. I post an update here every 1-3 months.
What’s up as of January 2023?
How about we work on new habits instead of new resolutions?
Challenging “bad weather” attitude 🌧️
We were sitting there feeling a bit bored and out of ideas, but then my son came to the rescue and suggested we go for a walk. It sounded crazy, given the cold, windy, and rainy weather outside, but we decided to give it a try. After all, we remembered the story of Jack and Josh Waitzkin and how they never let bad weather stop them from having fun.
Now, I'm trying to instill this attitude in my kids. There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad attitudes! Even though my wife and I were a bit hesitant, we decided to go for it and it was AWESOME. My kids were total troopers and we walked almost 3km on a windy, rainy day. We felt so proud of ourselves and it was a truly memorable experience.
So, my challenge to you today is to think about how often you use the phrase "bad weather" and ask yourself, can the weather really be bad? Let's make the most of every moment, no matter the forecast!

Re-reading some books 📚
Past years I had a goal to read (listen to) one book per month. This year is different.
This year my goal so to reread some of them and be more intentional to draw some lessons.
I'm currently reading "Leadership Strategy and Tactics: Field Manual" by Jocko Willink
Here are 3 lessons to implement today:
1️⃣ Identify your core values: Understand what values you and your organization hold most dear. These values should drive decision making and guide the actions of your team.
2️⃣ Communicate effectively: Ensure that your team is aware of the goals, expectations, and objectives. Encourage open communication and actively listen to feedback to make sure everyone is on the same page.
3️⃣ Lead by example: Lead by example by exhibiting the behaviors that you expect from your team members. This will help establish trust and credibility, and also make it clear that you are committed to the success of the organization.
Working on the full automation for my newsletter 🗞️
One of my goals for this year is to automate as much of my workflow as possible. To that end, I am currently undertaking a course on automating newsletters.
The objective is to utilize Airtable as a powerful database and integrate it with Make.com, in order to create automated scenarios where tasks can be performed in the background.
This will allow me to focus on inserting text and inputting parameters through special links and forms, while the automation handles the rest.
By streamlining my workflow in this manner, I will have more time and energy to dedicate to my family and other projects.
