I am a big fan of all sorts of ToDo and NotToDo lists. Sometimes, however, reviewing lists is a task in itself 🙂 So how do you know what to do first?

“Eat that frog” is a productivity framework based on the idea that if you tackle the hardest task on your to-do list first thing in the morning, the rest of your day will feel like a breeze.

And why is it called “Eat that frog”? Well, it’s based on a quote from Mark Twain, who once said:

“If the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that it’s probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day!”

In other words, if you get the most challenging task out of the way early on, the rest of your day will feel like a piece of cake. So, next time you feel overwhelmed with your to-do list, remember to “eat that frog” and tackle the hardest task first!
