I’ve had some health problems lately. And that made me think. I struggled mainly with the sickness, but I also had some time to think about and summarise the passing year.
A few conclusions that I would like to share.
It is worth reflecting on your values once in a while. We change as people over time. The environment around us, other people and our decisions influence who we become and what values we uphold over time.
For me, the highest value at the moment is my family.
📜 Status Quo
In order to revise your values, you must learn to question everything. Reflect on your habits, the traditions you are following, look around to see what kind of people you are around.
I am learning to question everything. There is no sanctity here. If something is important, it will defend itself. The very fact that I make a conscious decision is liberating.
This is definitely a very important time. This year’s surprising discovery for me was to discover how many people hate and dislike Christmas time. It is their choice.
I try to question the traditions that I have followed so far, leave what suits us (as a family) and introduce new ones. I am lucky that I grew up in Poland and now live in England, so I can choose from an extended range of traditions.
As an example, I would like to mention the fact that we decorated the Christmas tree at the beginning of December, and we started celebrating practically a week before Christmas Eve.I am learning to question everything. ⛑ The recent world events remind us of another year that may be the last Christmas for us or our loved ones.
I wish all of us to be close to other people.
Not only on Christmas.
